Burma's military junta have suddenly withdrawn armed police posted outside the residences of foreign envoys to Burma, according an Associated Press report.
The guards were withdraw Saturday night, concerning foreign diplomats who had not been notified of the change.
"Several diplomats said they felt uneasy or insecure about the move", AP said.
The Foreign Ministry of Burma gave no reason for the security withdrawal.
Since late 1999, the Burmese government has posted armed police outside diplomatic residences and embassies in the country. The move came after exiled Burmese dissident students raided the Burmese Embassy in Bangkok, Thailand.
